Young Women: Where They Stand

2002
Young women age 25–34 differ in many ways from their mothers at the same age. They are more diverse, racially and ethnically. They are better educated, on average, and have more options for working outside as well as within the home. And they are choosing a greater variety of household and living arrangements. Moreover, these options and choices can vary according to race, ethnic origin, and income and educational levels.
