Content of Daidzein and Genistein in Soybean Seedlings under Different Light Condition and Callus from Different Explants

2008
Daidzein and genistein contents of soybean seedlings uder different light condition and callus from different soybean ex-plants are determined in this experiment. It showed that the contents of daidzein and genistein in roots of soybean seedling treated with light for 30 days are 3.69 and 3.59 times of those without light.Contents of daidzein and genistein in leaves treated with light for 30 days are twice of those without light. The contents of daidzein and genistein in callus from leaves are highest when cultured in medium for 60 days. The contents of daidzein and genistein in soybean seedlings under light condition are higher than those in callus. The total amount of daidzein and genistein in callus of leaves for 90 days are 162.53 and 111.71 times of those in explants,respec-tively.Considering the growth of callus from explants, when callus were cultured for 90 days, root, cotyledon node and cotyledon could be used as explants to produce daidzein and genistein in tissue culture.
