Coating assessment for prediction of service life

Life predections for protective coatings used by the U.S Separtment of Defense ate useally based on laboratory tests ans dield trials. This article presents a Monte Carlo simulation that can be used to assess a rante of material performan as a function of key application cvariables. Average performance observations may not yield a satisfactory life prediction.
