EFEK PAPARAN RADIASI SINAR-X PADA PERUBAHAN MOTILITAS DAN MORFOLOGI SPERMA TIKUS STRAIN WISTAR

Material and Methods: This research is an in vivo experimental research using
Winstar Rats . in this research, the treatment group was exposed to various X-ray
radiation : 50 mGy, 100 mGy, and 2000 mGy compared to one control group which
was untreated group. Each group was contain of 6 Winstar Rats. Radiation exposure
was calibrated using RTI Piranha dosimetry. Rats were exposed to X-Ray radiation
until reach the desire radiation doses. After 30 days, rats was sacrificed and left
orcidectomy was performed. Sperm motility was assesed using direct observation
and Hematoxylin Eosin (HE) stain was used to assesed viability using light
microscope. One Way ANOVA was used to compare motility and viability of rats
spermatozoa in treatment group compared to control group with a significant value
of p <0.05. The analysis was continued with a post hoc test, to determine the
differences in each group
