EFICIÊNCIA ENERGÉTICA EM MÁQUINAS INJETORAS DE POLÍMEROS COM O USO DE MANTA TÉRMICA: ESTUDO DA REDUÇÃO DO CONSUMO ENERGÉTICO

In the context of Industry 4.0, companies have been structured from transformation processes aimed at achieving differentials in a context of highly fierce and globalized competition. Strategies developed for this purpose seek high performance, quality, delivery and productivity. In this sense, the work aims to analyze the improvement of a process focusing on energy efficiency in the manufacturing sector, based on the installation of thermal blankets in injection molding machines in the thermoplastics sector. To fulfill this objective, the method adopted by this research is based on a bibliographic research (which presents assumptions related to the heat transfer processes and their characteristics) associated with a case study, where the results generated were evaluated. the application of these blankets in terms of energy use and operating costs. In the development of the work it was verified that the use of thermal blankets, in the proposed case, enabled a reduction of 51.25% in the energy consumption by the injectors, implying, therefore, a decrease in the production costs, which allows to amortize the investment made. in about two years. Thus, it is concluded that the procedure adopted by the company is effective from the perspective of energy efficiency, combining cost reduction, profit generation and sustainable development.
