Atomic emission determination of beryllium in natural and waste waters after chemical preconcentration

1986
Beryllium in the presence of trichloroacetate ions is extracted by diantipyrylmethane in dichloroethane in the form of an intercalated complex. Extraction constants of trichloroacetic acid and beryllium have been calculated. The influence of a number of carriers on the intensity of the analytical line of BeI at 234.86 nm has been studied. A combined chemical and atomic-emission method for determining beryllium in natural and waste waters with a relative standard deviation of 0.3 has been devised.
