ATIVIDADES EXPERIMENTAIS PROMOTORAS DE PENSAMENTO CRÍTICO NAS AULAS DE CIÊNCIAS NATURAIS DO 2.ºCEB

2018
Experimental activities in science classes, where students are active participants in the research carried out, is a teaching-learning situation conducive to the development of critical thinking skills as well as other skills and competences. Thus, the present research into the professional practice intended to understand the influence of experimental activities, implemented in Natural Science lessons, in the development of critical thinking skills in students of a 5.th grade group of students. The study was carried out during the supervised teaching practice in Natural Sciences. On behalf of this, the Cornell Critical Thinking Test (Level X) was applied before the development of experimental activities and after it, then comparing the results. The critical thinking skills achieved by students with the experiences were also analyzed. The results suggest that activities contributed to improve the students level of critical thinking, allowing for the development of their logical thinking, communication skills, as well as collaboration between colleagues and autonomy.
