The invention discloses a water blocking rib and a humidifier. The water blocking rib comprises a rib plate (1). The rib plate (1) comprises a guiding structure (2) located at the bottom of the rib plate (1) and connected with a circumferential wall (3) of the rib plate (1); a water inlet (4) formed in the middle of the guiding structure (2); a mist outlet (5) which is located in the top of the rib plate (1) and is opposite to the water inlet (4), and a first circulation channel (6) arranged on the circumferential wall (3) of the rib plate (1) corresponding to the guiding structure (2), wherein the guiding structure (2) protrudes towards the mist outlet (5). According to the water blocking rib, the water blocking rib can be effectively prevented from reducing the humidification amount of the humidifier, and the work performance of the humidifier is improved.
