Penser et dispenser des formations communes

1994
Joint training sessions can be viewed from different logics : the Aquitaine “Institut Universitaire de Formation des Maitres” has deliberately stressed that leading to teaching practice. This leading principle first resulted in trying to find out all the features relevant to the different occupations being prepared ; and secondly in choosing a suject matter liable to develop the competences (“savoirfaire”) and attitudes (“savoir-etre”) required to carry out the professional occupation. Observation has been decided upon as it could meet fundamental requirements such as : feasability, training for the job, use made possible either by concurrent or later training sessions. Its setting up required planning based on three successive and individable phases : preparing observation, training period, analysis and assessment. The first evaluations highlight a certain amount of satisfaction shared both by trainees and trainers. Nevertheless, at institution level, the introduction of a certain coherence between the different components of the training has yet to be worked for.
