Insights into the Recent Advancements in the Vibrant Area of Cubosomes Nanoparticles based Drug Delivery

2021
Cubosomes are square or rounded nanoparticles with internal cubic lattices that can be used. Cubosomes are a one-of-a-kind invention that spans the fields of food science, differential geometry, biological membranes, and digestion. Self-assembled cubosomes are effective drug delivery devices that have grown in popularity as a result of their discovery and nomination. Cubosomes have a honeycomb-like structure of bicontinuous water and lipid domains and are thermodynamically stable. Within the surfactant, it is formed into bilayers and wrapped into a three-dimensional, intermittent, and minimal surface, resulting in a closely packed structure. The material is a bicontinuous cubic liquid crystalline form with an exclusive composition in the nanometer range that is optically lucid and highly viscous. Overall, cubosomes are essential in nano drug preparations for melanoma therapy because of their inherent advantages, which include significant drug payloads due to increased surface area and cuboidal structures. They're simple to produce, and their biodegradability enables them to encapsulate hydrophobic, hydrophilic, and amphiphilic compounds while allowing for controlled release of bioactive agents. Biocompatible and bioadhesive cubosome dispersion Owing to their characteristics, cubosomes are compact structures that can be delivered in a number of ways, including oral, percutaneous, and parenteral. Cubosomes are represented by a variety of parameters and have a broad range of applications. As a consequence, Cubosomes are becoming more prominent in the pharmaceutical testing division.
