All Optical 2 to 1 Multiplexer Using Optical Tree Architecture

2019
SOA means semiconductor optical amplifier whose non-linear properties are used to process the all optical devices. For optical interconnecting network, optical tree architecture i.e. OTA offers a great participation. In this communication, we have proposed multiplexer using SOA based MZI structure using optical tree architecture. OTA provides thermal stability, lower consumption of power and the ability of integrating with both the passive and active elements of the structure. Along with the input signal, enable signal has also been provided to the structure of multiplexer at same wavelength and at bit rate of 10 GB/s. The proposed device is 2×1 Mux using optical tree architecture.
