The Effect of propargyl oxygen substituents in the carbene-chromium/alkyne cycloaddition

Abstract The usual reaction of alkalynes with arylcarbene chromium complexes is deflected by hte presence of propargylic alkoxy groups, especially in the case of the 2,5-dimethoxypnenyl carbene ligand; indenes and furans become significant products.
