Flavescenols A and B, two lavandulylated acylphloroglucinols from Sophora flavescens

2021
Abstract A phytochemical investigation on the roots of Sophora flavescens resulted in the isolation of two undescribed lavandulylated acylphloroglucinols, flavescenols A (1) and B (2), together with biogenetically related analogues (3–6). Their structures were established on the basis of 1D, 2D NMR, and HR-ESI-MS spectroscopic analysis. Since flavescenols represent the first example of lavandulylated acylphloroglucinols, the biogenetical relationship of compounds 1-6 is proposed. In addition, all isolates were evaluated for their antiproliferative activity against HepG2 cell lines and inhibitory effects on LPS-induced NO production in RAW 264.7 cells.
