The Application of Sandwich Method in Experimental Teaching of Molecular Biology Based on qPCR Technology

Experimental teaching is an important part in the cultivation of molecular biology majors or relevant professionals. It is very necessary to develop comprehensive exploratory experiments to improve the quality of molecular biology experiment teaching. Applying Quantitative Real-time PCR (qPCR) as core technology and “Sandwich teaching method” in lesson delivery, we opened an exploratory experimental course on molecular biology for postgraduate students. This article described the objectives of the course, the design of content, program arrangement and so on, discussed the application and effect of Sandwich teaching method in molecular biology teaching. The results showed that this experimental item not only can leverage understanding the theoretical knowledge of molecular biology, but also efficiently improve the subjective initiative of postgraduate students, is beneficial to cultivate the ability of systematical analysis and scientific research.
