Heavy Flavour Production Results from UA1

The UA1 lepton samples are studied in terms of QCD heavy flavour production. Using the full O(\(\alpha _s^3\) ) QCD calculations the bottom cross-section is derived: σ(bb) = 10.2 ± 3.3 µb. Considering the large errors this is in good agreement with the theoretical value: \(\sigma (b\bar b) = 12_{ - 4}^{ + 7}\mu b\) .
