Aircraft Spray System Performance Using Soybean Oil as Spray Diluent
1985
ABSTRACT SOYBEAN oil was used as the spray diluent in a Thrush S-2R agricultural aircraft. The temperature rise in the tank liquid was determined for two circulation rates. The boom liquid temperature was measured at selected distances along the spray boom to ascertain the temperature profile during spraying. Deposition patterns were compared for soybean oil and water as diluents.
