Primary catalyst for ethylene homo-polymerization or co-polymerization, and catalyst containing primary catalyst

The invention relates to a primary catalyst for ethylene homo-polymerization or co-polymerization, and a catalyst containing the primary catalyst. The primary catalyst comprises organic-magnesium compound, alcohol compound and titanium compound. The preparation method of the primary catalyst comprises the following steps: mixing the organic-magnesium compound with the alcohol compound so as to obtain mixture solution; mixing the mixture solution with the titanium compound so as to obtain primary catalyst suspension; subjecting the primary catalyst suspension to aging reaction; and rinsing and drying the aged primary catalyst suspension, so as to obtain the primary catalyst. The catalyst provided by the invention comprises the above primary catalyst and organic-aluminum compound. The catalyst has the following characteristics of simple preparation method, high catalyst activity, good granule shape, and on the like. The catalyst is suitable for the slurry polymerization process of ethylene.
