Study on Mixing Technology and Its Effects on Mechanical Properties of Butyl Rubber Damping Materials

The effects of stearic acid(SA) on the mixing technology,and its effects on the phase structure and mechanical properties of butyl rubber damping materials are investigated.The results show that in the study system,the Mooney viscosity of butyl rubber compounds decreases remarkably,the phase structure,the dispersing effects and mixing state are all improved.Under 2phr of the SA,the air bubble phenomenon and number in the damping materials greatly eliminates,and there are no bad influences on the mechanical properties and the damping properties.
