Two rare cases of fungal bursitis due to Phialemoniopsis pluriloculosa

Abstract Fungal infections due to Phialemoniopsis spp. are rarely reported in the medical literature. We report the first two cases of fungal bursitis of the knee by Phialemoniopsis pluriloculosa, which has not been previously reported. Both patients were successfully treated with a six-month course of posaconazole.
