Proceedings of the 23rd Australian Computer-Human Interaction Conference

2011
Welcome to OzCHI 2011. A year has passed since last OzCHI, and we are pleased to see that the field of Human Computer Interaction community in Australia continues to grow and address topical issues. This is indeed illustrated in the program this year. The program committee was comprised of 43 international researchers, and 61 Australian researchers. All submitted long and short papers were subjected to double-blind peer review by the international reviewing committee. All papers were reviewed by at least three peers. Industry case studies, panels, and workshop and tutorial proposals were reviewed by their respective Track Chairs. This year, we received 51 long papers and 59 short papers, coming from the Asia-Pacific region (72%), from Europe (14%) and Northern Europe (8%), with a few contributions from the Middle East, Northern America and Africa. From these submissions, we accepted 22 long and 29 short papers. We also included an invited long paper from Professor Gerhard Fischer, the opening Keynote Speaker. The OzCHI proceedings are a publication of CHISIG, and also appear in the ACM (the Association for Computing Machinery) Digital Library (dl.acm.org).
