Nursing care for patients with postoperative thrombosis in the surgical treatment of portal hypertension of cirrhosis

Objective: To explore the early clinical manifestations and nursing intervention of the portal vein thrombosis(PVT) in the undergoing splenectomy combined with pericardial devascularization.Methods: The data was analyzed retrospectively in that 112 cases of patients underwent splenectomy combined with pericardial devascularization including 19 cases of PVT from May,1999 to May,2007.Results: Seventeen of 19 patients with the PVT in the undergoing splenectomy combined with pericardial devascularization recovered and discharged,one case gave up treatment and one died of rebleeding.Conclusion: The symptoms of patients with PVT are atypical.Early intervention is necessary.The early therapy of anticoagulant and dissolving is effective to prevent PVT if discovering abnormality.
