Syntheses, Crystal Structures, and Fluorescent Properties of Two Binuclear Hg(II) Complexes Based on 2-((Benzoimidazolyl)methyl)-1H-tetrazole

Two new complexes formulated as [HgBr(bimt)(μ-Br)2HgBr (bimt)]·H2O (1), and [HgI(bimt)(μ-I)2HgI(bimt)] (2) (bimt = 2- ((benzoimidazolyl)methyl)-1H-tetrazole) have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, IR spectra, and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. Both complexes exhibit binuclear structure. In the solid state, there are hydrogen bonds and π-π interactions in both complexes, and there are still I···I interactions in 2. Their fluorescent properties also have been determined.
