Durability is an essential performance factor that completes a vehicle’s functionality. However, due to resonance effect, fatigue failure of the vehicle components occurs frequently during vehicle durability tests. Therefore, the method of enhancing the durability prediction technique was studied in order to ensure the durability of the components in the early stages of vehicle development. In this study, an efficient durability prediction technique for vibration fatigue test is presented and standardized. Furthermore, the results obtained from vibration fatigue test of LPI fuel filter bracket are analyzed to figure out the factors influencing the vibration fatigue performance of vehicle components. The results of this study suggest that to improve the reliability of the prediction technique, a standardized method of vibration fatigue prediction and analysis on the factors leading to vibration fatigue are necessary, in addition to an ongoing correlation analysis between vibration fatigue analysis results and fatigue test.
