Motor vehicle, comprising a vehicle seat (40), an occupant detection system for detecting whether an occupant (50) on the vehicle seat (40), said occupant detection system comprises a first antenna electrode (20) in the seat (40) is arranged, and a first sensor circuit (the seat 40 ) is associated, said first sensing circuit comprises a resonant circuit (14) which is operatively connected to the first antenna electrode (20) to create a first oscillating signal (to the first antenna electrode 20), and a current detection circuit connected to the first antenna electrode is connected to determine a current flowing due to the applied thereto oscillation signal in the first antenna electrode (20), wherein the current flowing in the first antenna electrode (12) indicates whether an occupant (50) on the vehicle seat ( 40), wherein said first sensing circuit in operation, the information about whether an occupant (50) on the vehicle seat (40), in a first output signal encodes and outputs the first output signal; and a device that includes an appliance control device (60); characterized in that further comprises the vehicle a second antenna electrode (26) which is arranged in the appliance control device (60), and a second sensing circuit, which is associated with the appliance control device (60), wherein the second sensing circuit is separate from the first sensing circuit wherein the second sensing circuit comprises a circuit for detecting an electric signal which is connected to the second antenna electrode and configured to determine an electrical signal in the second antenna electrode (26) is induced in that a at an antenna electrode in the a vehicle seat (40) generated electric field is capacitively coupled into the second antenna electrode (26), said in the second antenna electrode (26) indicative of induced electrical signal, whether a body part of a ...
