An investigation of creep in phenylope

The creep process has been investigated in detail with Phenylone film over a wide range of temperatures, stresses and strains. The areas of mechanical workability of this polymer and the special features of its visco-elastic behaviour has been determined. A distinguishing feature of Phenylone is the weak temperature dependence of the parameters for the rate of the creep process and the occurrence of this process by a simple relaxation mechanism.
