Study on Illumination in Auto-focus Based on Image Processing

Illumination has a great impact to the accuracy of auto-focus based on image process. This paper firstly simulated the effect of the lighting intensity to the curve of the evaluation function, in which auto-focus has been carried to the workpiece surface under different lighting modes and intensities. The experiment results have been analyzed, and the reference to the selection of lighting during auto -focus has been proposed.
