Study of a Thyratron-type Gas Discharge Interrupter with Improved Discharge Parameters in a High-Voltage Pulse Generator with Inductive Energy Storage
2020
As a result of studies of a new gas-discharge current switch in a nanosecond voltage pulse generator, the megawatt power managed to achieve the following operating parameters. The pressure range when the device operated in the break current mode was 30 Pa – 45 Pa; the rise time range of the leading edge of the voltage pulse varied from 30 ns to 100 ns; the minimum recorded value of this parameter was 30 ns. The limit of the generator output voltage with the new device was 70 kV; the limit value of the switched current was 600 A.
