Pulse duration influence on the photoacoustic temporal waveform of the liquid-filled thin glass capillary embedded in a soft object

In this report, we constructed for trial an evaluation setup of photoacoustic contrast agent with a low power pulsed laser diode. Through a series of experiments using this setup, the effects of the pulse duration on the photoacoustic signal waveform and level are investigated. Besides, a simulation model is proposed to explain the observed characteristics, and the results match well with the experimental data with 14.6% mean absolute error.
