An 11.8-GHz 31" CMOS Frequency Divider

This paper proposes a CMOS latch suitable for frequency divider application. To demonstrate the high-speed and lowpower characteristics, we have developed a 64: 1 divider with a 0.15-pm CMOS technology. The maximum operating frequency of 11.8 GHz has been achieved with a power consumption of 3 1 mW from a 2.0-V supply.
