A simple and efficient method for the dehydrogenation of symmetric hydrazo compounds with NaNO 2 -Ac 2 O

Rapid oxidation of eighteen symmetric hydrazo compounds to corresponding azo compounds using NaNO 2 -acetic anhydride as a novel oxidizing agent under mild condition is reported for the first time.
