Vehicle positioning and tracking system

A vehicle positioning and tracking system comprises a server (20), a first vehicular navigation terminal (10) and a mobile phone (30) or a second vehicular navigation terminal (40). The first vehicular navigation terminal (10) is used for uploading positioning information to the server (20) periodically, the mobile phone (30) or the second vehicular navigation terminal (40) is used for receiving the positioning information and route information issued from the server (20), each of the first vehicular navigation terminal (10) and the second vehicular navigation terminal (40) comprises a processing module (101), a GPS (global positioning system) module (102), a first communication module (103), a monitoring module (104) and a display module (105). When a vehicle and the vehicular navigation terminals are in fault or users of the vehicle are hijacked or missed, family members or friends of the users of the vehicle can inquire the positioning information, history tracks and the like of the vehicle by the server so as to find out the current position or location of the vehicle; and can also start the monitoring modules of the vehicular navigation terminals to learn the relative conditions of the vehicle so as to take measures to save or help the users of the vehicle conveniently.
