The Rise,Development and Process Design of “Flipped Classroom”in US and Its Implication

2015
The "Flipped classroom"teaching model in US is an innovation in contrast to the traditional teaching model of"lesson taught on class"and"homework done after class". By means of the shared videos before class and the in-class student discussion, this new model effectively deals with basic knowledge acquisition before class and new knowledge internalization in class. The"Flipped classroom"teaching model originated from the United States and has been spread rapidly in recent years. It has become a relatively mature process of module design at practice level. This teaching model has following implications:(1)Information technology should be involved in the K-12 classroom;(2)We should improve our awareness of the development of online education resources;(3)In-class discussion should be built on the problem-solving activities.
