Sensitivity of cultured mammalian cells to oxidative stress: adaptation to repeated exposures of hyperbaric oxygen

We report a faster method for producing O2-resistant mammalian cell lines by the repetitive exposure of surviving cells to hyperbaric oxygen.These new O2-resistant cell lines provide material to study the cellular responses and adaptation involved in the development of O2 tolerance.
