Theoretical and experimental characterization of high frequency (100MHz) ultrasonic fields

1998
This work presents a comparative analysis of a theoretical and experimental study of some acoustic features of a high frequency ultrasonic sensor with a wide aperture (42°) and a buffer rod. Experimental results for an acoustic field are usually obtained in the case of wide-band excitation. The object of this work was to evaluate the importance of the shape of the sensor, the electric excitation and the type of reflection element required to characterize a high frequency radiated field.
