The invention relates to a method for detecting a half-combination point of an AMT vehicle type clutch. The method comprises the following steps that S1, the half-combination point of the clutch starts to be detected; S2, it is judged that if all current conditions are met, S3 is executed, and otherwise S9 is executed; S3, an AMT is shifted to a neutral gear, and the clutch is engaged; S4, the clutch is controlled by the AMT to be completely disengaged, the position of the clutch is monitored, if the disengagement stroke of the clutch reaches a set value, S5 is executed, and otherwise S9 is executed; S5, after preset delay time, the AMT monitors whether the rotating speed of an input shaft is 0 or not, if yes, S6 is executed, and otherwise S9 is executed; S6, the clutch is controlled by the AMT to be engaged, the position signal of the clutch is monitored, if the input shaft starts to rotate, S8 is executed, and otherwise S7 is executed; S7, whether the clutch is completely engaged or not is detected, if yes, S9 is executed, and otherwise S6 is executed; S8, the position of the clutch is arranged as the half-combination point through the AMT and stored in an electronic control unit, and S10 is executed; S9, error prompting information is sent; and S10, the AMT retreats from a detection state.
