Synthesis and biological evaluation of novel rigid 1,4-benzodiazepine-2,5-dione chimeric scaffolds

Novel, conformationally constrained 1,4-benzodiazepine-2,5-diones containing both a monosaccharide, fructose, and a proline moiety have been synthesized as chimeric scaffolds; preliminary biological evaluation as GABAA receptor ligands is reported.
