Spectrochemical investigation of the thermal behaviour of lead salts

1981
A micro-reactor/radiation source/detector system was constructed suitable for studying thermal processes occurring during the controlled, rapid heating of lead chlorides, nitrates, sulphates and phosphates (sample amount of 10−6–10−4 g). Evaporation, decomposition, oxidation and reduction processes in presence of different reactor surface materials (graphite, metal, quartz) were examined. Appearance and peak temperatures of the different reaction products were measured.
