2019
Objective
To explore the medication discrepancy happened in transition period of discharge in hypertension patients with different Eysenck personalities and in different groups.
Methods
The hypertension patients during transition period of discharge were investigated by Eysenck questionnaire, in order to understand the medication discrepancy occurrence in different groups of hypertension patients and the correlation between medication discrepancy occurrence and eysenck personality.
Results
Different groups of hypertension patients happened medication discrepancy were statistically different (P<0.05). The Eysenck scores in the hypertension patients who happened and didn’t medication discrepancy were statistically different (P<0.05). The multiple regression results of factors affecting medication discrepancy showed that age, educational level, marital status, home condition, taking medicine place, models of medical expense expenditure, average family income, and E, P, and N dimensions in Eysenck had certain effects on the patients' medication discrepancy (all P<0.05).
Conclusions
Medication discrepancy happened in hypertension patients with different characteristics and Eysenck scores are different. In the clinical course of medication use, we should pay attention to the personality characteristics of the patients, take personality psychological treatment and guidance, improve the safety of medicine use, and reduce the occurrence of adverse drug events, so as to effectively prevent the medication discrepancy occurrence in hypertension patients and increase the patients’ clinical effects and quality of life.
