Rotating electric machine and a driving control device

2007
A plurality of salient poles (19) projecting toward a stator (12) are arranged on a rotor core (16) along the circumferential direction while being spaced apart from each other, and rotor windings (18n, 18s) are wound around these salient poles (19). The rotor windings (18n, 18s) are short-circuited through diodes (21n, 21s), respectively; and when currents rectified by the diodes (21n, 21s) flow through the rotor windings (18n, 18s), the salient poles (19) are magnetized to produce a magnet where the magnetic pole is fixed. The width ¸ of each salient pole (19) in the circumferential direction is smaller than a width corresponding to an electric angle of 180° of the rotor (14), and the rotor windings (18n, 18s) are wound around each salient pole (19) by short-pitch winding.
