Glioblastoma de células gigantes

2011
Glioblastoma multiforme is the most common malignancies of the central nervous system (grade IV WHO classification), corresponding to giant cell glioblastoma 5% of the same and 0.8% of all central nervous system tumors in general. We report the case of a male patient aged 77 with a diagnosis of giant cell glioblastoma located in the left temporal lobe, causing herniation uncal and cingulate, with decreased cortical and subcortical. We emphasize the histopathologic features of this tumor, which correspond to a poor prognostic factor of paramount importance. Ked words: giant cells glioblastoma, brain giant, cells tumors, anaplastic tumors. Arch Neurocien (Mex) Vol. 16, No. 4: 231-233; 2011
