2013
Introduction: Osteoarthrosis is a disease of the synovial articulations and it constitutes a degenerative, chronic and irreversible arthropatia.  Pharmacopuncture has demonstrated to have a therapeutic effect.  Aim: To evaluate the pharmacopuncture effect in knee arthrosis.  Methods: It performed a longitudinal, prospective study of case and controls with 130 patients who visited Pain Clinic of the Miguel Enriquez Hospital in a period of January to June of 2013. These patients were diagnosed with gonarthrosis. Group’s selection was performed randomly and the pain visual analogue scale was applied to both groups. Control group was treated with conventional therapy based in medicines and the study group was treated with pharmacopuncture therapy. Results: The range between 41-50 years old and female was predominant.  Moderate to severe range in both groups was predominant using Pain Visual Analogue Scale, before of receiving the treatment.  The patients treated with pharmacopuncture shown improvement in moderate and severe range. The major quantity of patients resolved with five treatment sessions, however in control group at the same range using conventional therapy, there was not improvement. Only 33, 8 % of the patients improved after ten days of treatment. Conclusions: Pharmacopuncture in gonarthrosis shown analgesia in almost the totality of the treated patient
