An electrically conductive polymer suspension is prepared by performing a chemical oxidation polymerization of a monomer for providing an electrically conductive polymer by using an oxidant in a solvent containing an organic acid or a salt thereof as a dopant to form an electrically conducting polymer, by obtaining the electrically conductive polymer prepared by the action of an oxidizing agent onto the electrically conductive polymer in an aqueous solvent containing a polyacid, and further by mixing a dispersant with a branched structure and then pulverizing the electrically conductive polymer. With the electrically conductive polymer suspension an organic material having a high electrical conductivity, an excellent adhesiveness to a substrate and an excellent water resistance and a process for the preparation of the material as well as an electrolytic capacitor and a method for manufacturing the capacitor can be provided.
