Event-Triggered Control for Networked Switched Systems Subject to Data Asynchronization

This article emphasizes the stabilization issue for switched systems with data asynchronization through event-triggered communication. The existing research mainly consider that switching delays lead to asynchronous switching between sub-systems and sub-controllers. Differently, this article is concerned with the data asynchronization issue caused by bounded transmission delay (i.e. the data from an old controller is received by a newly switched system). A closed-loop switched time-delay system with both event-triggering communication and asynchronous data is formulated. Besides, a data asynchronization analysis method and an active packet loss mechanism for out-of-order data packets are proposed. The intersection between the triggered data and controller switching induced data updating instants is analyzed in multiple cases. On this basis, by resorting to stability theory and average dwell time technique, it is proved that switched system has $\mathcal {H}_\infty$ performance. A set of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs) is shown to solve the parameters of controller and triggering scheme. Three examples exhibit that the proposed approach is effective.
