Problem solving environment for water-supply systems

2016
This paper describes the collaboration of modern technologies based on mathematical modeling with the aim to simulate behaviors of water-supply system in a big city. The core contains an instrumental tool for hydraulics simulation executed on high-performance computing infrastructure. The simulation process collaborates with the GIS environment in order to correct and prepare input data and visualize the simulation output. The novelty is also scientific gateway which enables hydraulic domain experts to interact comfortably with the HPC capacity from various multiple platforms including local cluster, Grid and Cloud.
