Circulation of the skin

1999
Abstract Tremendous advances have been made in the understanding of the systems controlling cutaneous blood flow and it is now widely accepted that integration of control occurs at the level of the blood vessel. Although the precise role and importance of the different systems, in various physiological and pathophysiological conditions, remains speculative, the theory explains many of the observed changes. Hopefully more definitive answers will be forthcoming.
