Therapeutic effects of periodontal treatment combined with orthodontics on chronic periodontitis with pathological displacement of anterior teeth

Objective To analyze the therapeutic effect of periodontal treatment combined with orthodontics on chronic periodontitis with pathological displacement of anterior teeth. Methods A total of 40 patients with chronic periodontitis admitted to the Peace Hospital of Changzhi Medical College from October 2014 to October 2018 were selected. All of them were accompanied by pathological shift of anterior teeth. All patients underwent periodontal treatment, and then orthodontic treatment was perfromed. Results After periodontal treatment, the depth of probing and clinical attachment loss were lower than those before treatment (P 0.05). Conclusions For patients with chronic periodontitis with pathological displacement of anterior teeth, periodontal treatment combined with orthodontic treatment can effectively repair periodontal tissue and correct anterior teeth displacement, and the clinical effect is good.
