LING 430 English Grammar for Prospective Teachers, Section 2

This course is an introduction to core grammatical concepts and facts of English grammar, including parts of speech and grammatical relations, as well as word, sentence and discourse structure. It is of special interest to secondary school teachers. Its main objective is to enable future elementary and secondary school teachers to understand, and be able to respond to, student grammatical problems in sentence structure, and to teach facts of English grammar, especially as relevant to writing.
