Accuracy of forging simulation is deliberated to give the insight on solution reliability to application engineers or researchers in this presentation. Major factors affecting results of forging simulation are introduced with proper applied examples, involving theory of plasticity, remeshing characteristics, numerical schemes, material properties, frictional conditions, thermal conditions and process conditions such as die motion. Many efforts to enhance solution accuracy and reliability which are being made or will be made in near future are also given together with some typical examples.
