Second Generation Voltage Conveyor II based Shadow Filter

This paper presents a second generation voltage conveyor based shadow filter. A shadow filter is a tunable circuit where an external amplifier is added to a filter and the amplification of the feedback network can be changed to control the overall characteristics of a basic filter. Second Generation Voltage conveyors can be used to realize LPF and BPF. Using an external feedback with the second order voltage conveyor base filter, we can change the characteristics of the second order filters with minimal change in the overall circuit. Proposed shadow filter can be used to realize and tune LP and BP filters. The results are simulated and verified through Cadence Virtuoso using 180nm CMOS technology.
