Guillain-Barré syndrome in chronic alcoholism

Abstract This report describes six cases of chronic alcoholics affected by Guillain-Barre syndrome. The syndrome was the main clinical feature recorded in the patients. The possibility that alcohol abuse may have relevance in the pathogenesis of the Guillain-Barre syndrome is discussed.
